With over $3 billion in assets under management and advisement, Trajan® Wealth is one of the fastest-growing Registered Investment Advisor firms in the country.
What sets us apart is our fully integrated, in-house model - combining fee-only wealth management, estate planning through Trajan Estate, and tax strategy through Trajan Tax.
We don't refer out critical components of a client's financial life. We bring them together under one fiduciary standard - the Family Office.
Role Overview
The Financial Analyst will serve as a key contributor within Trajan Wealth's Internal Finance Group, supporting strategic decision-making, financial planning, and operational reporting across our various platforms. This role reports to the Finance Director and partners closely with the Finance Director and company executive leadership to analyze business performance, model growth scenarios, and ensure financial data integrity across all entities.
This position is 100% onsite at our corporate headquarters in Scottsdale.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and multi-scenario analyses to support firm-wide strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including revenue analysis, margin trends, and develop KPI dashboards.
  • Analyze firm financial performance across business lines, identifying variances, trends, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support budgeting and annual planning processes in partnership with Finance Director and executive leadership.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to evaluate new business opportunities, revenue streams, and potential investments across Trajan Wealth's growth pillars - including AUM, annuity, private equity, tax, and estate.
  • Support Finance Director with Trajan Tax and Trajan Estate on intercompany financial reporting and divisional performance tracking.
  • Maintain and improve financial reporting, systems, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitor industry trends, market data, and competitive benchmarks relevant to the RIA and wealth management space.
  • Support Director with compliance and audit functions with financial documentation and analysis as needed.

Qualifications
Required
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Strong team player
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines across multiple workstreams simultaneously with high attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling.
  • Strong command of financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, executive-ready insights.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles as applied to financial reporting and consolidation.
  • Proven ability to prepare and present financial analysis including polished PowerPoint or similar presentation materials.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across Tax, Estate, Sales, and Compliance functions.

Preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Netsuite
  • Experience with BI or reporting tools such as Sigma Computing or similar platforms.
  • Experience within an RIA, wealth management firm, or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with fee-based advisory business metrics, AUM reporting, or revenue-per-advisor analysis.
  • Exposure to multi-entity or multi-division financial consolidation.
  • CFA, CPA, or MBA credential.
  • Experience with SQL or other data querying tools.
  • Familiarity with SEC, FINRA, or other regulatory requirements applicable to Registered Investment Advisors.

Benefits
