Job description

This position will be assigned to Joint Base Langley, VA .
This is a two-year developmental trainee program. The selectee will enter as an NF-03 with a salary range of $45K-$55K and upon successfully completing the first year, be promoted to an NF-04 with a salary range of $55K-$65K. Upon successful completion of the two-year program, the participant will outplace to an Air Force Installation as a Golf Course Manager.Qualifications:Who May Apply: Open to everyone. An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 08/03/2026

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of golf as would be gained through a PGA certified golf management 4 year school. Skill in oral and written communication; ability to utilize and apply knowledge to plan and carry out business and/or recreational activities of a program segment that meets the needs of the community; and skill in effectively managing financial and physical resources within a program segment. Ability to deal effectively with employees, members and their guests within and outside the activity.Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.Employment Type: OTHER
