Job description

At Curriculum Associates, we believe in the potential of every child and are changing the face of education technology with award-winning learning programs like i-Ready that serve a third of the nation's K-8 students. For more than 50 years, our commitment to making classrooms better places, serving educators, and supporting accessible learning experiences for all students has driven the continuous improvement of our innovative programs. Our team of more than 2,500 employees is composed of lifelong learners who stand behind this mission, working tirelessly to serve the educational community with world-class programs and support every day.

The Director, Content and Systems, Adoptions and Proposals leads a team of professionals responsible for building and maintaining the proposal content database, strengthening partnerships with subject matter experts, and curating accurate, compliant boilerplate content.

In partnership with stakeholders and team leaders, this Director also stewards the evolution of content and workflow systems, promoting effective use of platforms such as Qvidian, Smartsheet, and related solutions so that data and systems enable timely, compelling, and insight-driven content for cross-functional teams.

The impact you'll have:

  • Lead a geographically diverse, remote Content & Systems Team, with responsibility for hiring, performance management, coaching, promotions, and talent planning.

  • Establish governance, standards, workflows, and KPIs for boilerplate and custom proposal content and accessibility practices, while managers operationalize these within their domains.

  • Provide executive oversight of Qvidian and related content and workflow platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, SharePoint), setting enhancement priorities and partnering with the VP, Adoptions & Proposals, the IT business partner, and other related teams on roadmaps, integrations, and major vendor decisions.

  • Ensure technology and accessibility-related RFP and rubric requirements are consistently addressed across Adoptions & Proposals deliverables, coordinating with Accessibility and Technology/Security partners as needed.

  • Oversee assignment of content leads for proposals and rubrics, participating in go-forward RFP decisions and aligning appropriate expertise to complex and high-priority opportunities.

  • Work with A&P leaders to guide the strategic direction and success metrics for systems innovation and AI-enabled efficiencies across the Adoptions & Proposals department.

  • Work with A&P leaders to facilitate access to relevant professional development, including training in systems, accessibility, AI tools, and cross-functional product knowledge.

  • Lead or co-lead key strategic initiatives and cross-functional workstreams that extend beyond individual manager scopes, helping resolve conflicts, balance priorities, and maintain alignment with departmental and organizational goals.

  • Perform other relevant duties, as assigned.

Who we're looking for:

  • A creative, collaborative, high-confidence, low-ego, ethical problem-solver who thrives in a deadline-driven, multi-faceted environment

  • Strong project management, supervisory, and decision-making skills

  • Proven team building and personnel management skills, including the ability to lead by example, encourage diverse perspectives, and serve as a unifying motivator and true collaborator

  • The ability to set direction, establish a formal process for workflow, make commitments, and then manage work in a consistent manner

  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled tools and data-driven workflows, with the ability to assess opportunities, risks, and practical applications in a business context.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently, anticipate and solve problems, and develop creative solutions

  • Clear and persuasive communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels and manage alignment across distributed teams.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively across departments and business units with competing needs

  • Effective management of cross-functional department teams

  • Proficiency with Qvidian, Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and other standard business applications

Required Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional experience

  • 5+ years of experience in the K-12 edpub / edtech industry

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range - This role's range is $110,500-$196,500.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan and receive an employer match. Employees have access to a flexible vacation and sick policy in addition to twelve paid holidays and a winter office closure between Christmas and New Year's, as well as a number of additional perks and benefits.

Application Deadline: June 9, 2026. This is subject to close earlier if there is a high volume of applicants or a qualified hire is made.
