Commercial Flooring Sales Representative
Sergenian's Floor Coverings is a leading provider of commercial flooring solutions. We offer a wide variety of flooring products, including carpet, carpet tile, tile, hardwood, LVT, LVP, VCT, Rubber, linoleum, and sheet vinyl. Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Flooring Salesperson to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with customers, and closing deals. You will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our customers are satisfied with our products and services.
Responsibilities:
  • Generate leads and build relationships with potential customers including General Contractors, Architects, Designers, and End Users.
  • Qualify leads and identify customer needs
  • Work with the estimating department to develop take-offs of all projects
  • Develop and present proposals to General Contractors and End Users
  • Track all bidding activity and follow-up on status
  • Negotiate contracts and work to complete all necessary contract documents (submittals, insurance requirements, bid bond, schedule of values, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Manage projects through completion including prompt follow-up on all change orders
  • Serve as principle point of contact for any contract related challenges
  • Support installation team through project completion.
  • Help accounts receivable department when needed to collect payments from your clients
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new products
  • Work with management to establish annual sales budgets
  • Travel to customer locations as needed for measuring, estimates, issues, and to monitor installations

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial flooring sales
  • Proven record of success in achieving sales goals
  • Established relationships with industry General Contractors / Mill Reps
  • Must be able to read and interpret architectural drawings and all bid documents
  • Strong understanding of commercial flooring products and installation
  • Experience operating Measure Square, RFMS Measure Software or industry equivalent
  • Excellent professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to project manage commercial sales through installation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive and collaborative team player
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Bachelor's degree in design, business or related field (preferred)
  • Background in design desirable
  • Tech savvy with experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexible and adaptable to manage shifting priorities
  • Resilient and poised in dealing with demanding situations
  • Valid driver's license
