Job Title: Contracts Agent
Location: Birmingham, AL 35243
Duration: 1 Year Contract
Pay Rate: $40 - $45/hour
Work Schedule: Hybrid -4 days onsite and 1 day remote (typically Friday)
Shift Timing: Monday-Friday, 1ST Shift
Job Summary:
The Contracts Agent will support procurement and contracting activities throughout the contract lifecycle, including sourcing, RFI/RFP processes, supplier negotiations, contract drafting, administration, and closeout. The role will work closely with internal business teams, suppliers, Legal, Risk Management, and Accounting to ensure effective procurement and contract execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contract activities from sourcing through contract closeout.
  • Support RFI/RFP preparation, supplier evaluations, and bid analysis.
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers.
  • Draft and review contract documents including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and amendments.
  • Perform cost and price analysis.
  • Support supplier management and compliance documentation.
  • Resolve contract issues, changes, and disputes.
  • Maintain contract records and procurement system updates.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, contract administration, or contract management.
  • Knowledge of contract language, negotiations, supplier management, and procurement processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with procurement systems such as Oracle, Maximo, GEP, SAP, Coupa, or similar tools is preferred.
