Job Title

Position Summary

This position will ensure the accurate, timely, and safe unloading and receipt of product and will compare and verify all material from assigned truck. This involves calculating the exact counts on each pallet and comparing these numbers to the Bill of Lading provided by each individual Carrier. The receiver will document these numbers, sign the necessary paperwork and is held accountable for any discrepancy thereafter.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management

  • Use RF scanner to input information into Warehouse Management System
  • Create accurate records of inventory using paper and Radio Frequency (RF) methods. Identify, interpret and input accurate count, lot date, unit of measure, expiration date and SKU number for all products received from their assigned truck
  • Ensure that all quality assurance and vendor compliance specifications are identified, documented and captured on film. Support quality control with checking products for any discrepancies. This includes but is not limited to; ensuring a correct Advanced Shipping Notice, inspecting damaged goods, mixed SKU's on pallets, correct barcode information and handling incorrect labeling issues.
  • Adhere to department productivity (units per hour) and accuracy standards.
  • Unload and load trucks manually performing material handler duties. Physically stack and un-stack product onto pallets according to the assigned stack pattern for that individual SKU. Apply labels to correct product according to SKU and batch dates.
  • Identify damaged product and repackage.
  • Compete to meet/exceed department standards
  • Perform pre-stretching exercises (5-10 minutes)
  • Perform other duties and works in other departments as assigned.

Education And Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ months of distribution/inventory experience.
  • RF gun/scanner experience desired.
  • Strong computer skills desired.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks (walking, bending, twisting and use of hands, wrists and arms)
  • Able to lift, up to 50lbs continuously. Occasionally extending product up to overhead positions
  • Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures (-10° to 40°)
  • Honest and respectful communication
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.
