Job description

Job Summary

The Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, moving, and preparing footwear merchandise for shipment to retail stores and customers. This role requires safely operating a forklift while meeting productivity, quality, and safety standards in a fast-paced distribution center environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately pick customer and store orders using RF scanners, pick lists, or warehouse management systems
  • Operate a forklift safely to move, stage, load, or retrieve merchandise from rack locations
  • Select correct footwear styles, sizes, and quantities
  • Pack products according to company and safety standards
  • Label cartons and prepare orders for shipping
  • Meet daily productivity, quality, and accuracy goals
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and correct labeling
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations, forklift safety procedures, and company policies
  • Assist with additional warehouse tasks as assigned (replenishment, inventory counts, returns)

Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred
  • Ability to operate a forklift required
  • Forklift certification preferred (or ability to be trained and certified by the company)
  • Ability to read, count, and match product numbers accurately
  • Basic computer or RF scanner experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs (with or without accommodation)
  • Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
