Job description

Job Summary:
Integration Innovation, Inc. is a technically diverse company specializing in missile and aviation systems engineering and logistic services. They are seeking a Vulnerability Research Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratoryโ€™s Tactical Electronic Warfare Division, focusing on reverse engineering and analysis of software to develop tools for testing and understanding real-world systems.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Reverse engineer compiled software and firmware to understand behavior, interfaces, and system-level implementation.
โ€ข Use static and dynamic analysis (disassembly, debugging, tracing, emulation) to map control flow, data structures, protocols, and algorithms.
โ€ข Develop and maintain custom tools/scripts (primarily Python and C/C++) to automate analysis, extract parameters, and validate hypotheses.
โ€ข Design and implement lightweight test & instrumentation software to control assets, collect telemetry, and support test and evaluation events.
โ€ข Document findings in clear technical reports, including diagrams, evidence, limitations, and recommended next steps.
โ€ข Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers (EW, RF/DSP, embedded, test) to translate reverse-engineering results into actionable engineering decisions.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
โ€ข 5+ years of professional experience in reverse engineering, binary analysis, malware analysis, or low-level software/firmware analysis.
โ€ข Hands-on experience with disassemblers and debuggers (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja; WinDbg/gdb/lldb).
โ€ข Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; working knowledge of assembly (x86/x64, ARM, or similar).
โ€ข Experience with embedded systems and common interfaces (e.g., UART/JTAG/SWD; SPI/I2C) and interpreting logs/telemetry.
โ€ข Ability to communicate technical findings effectively in writing and in technical reviews.
โ€ข Active U.S. Government Secret clearance is required; TS/SCI preferred.
โ€ข U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred:
โ€ข Masterโ€™s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent advanced experience.
โ€ข Experience with EW systems, RF/DSP concepts, or signal-processing-driven software.
