Overview
Job Title: RF Engineering Manager
Job Location: Topsfield, MA (100% onsite)
Salary: $150,000-$185,000/yr DOE
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall coordination of efforts, including making job assignments for RF Engineering personnel and keeping applicable executive(s) informed as to personnel requirements.
  • Maintains a working liaison with personnel assigned to other portions of the project as required for proper coordination of RF Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning and Test resources.
  • Responsible for the review and approval of all RF Engineering design.
  • Contributes heavily to the design approach and to the ingenuity employed, as needed.
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of Estimates to Complete (ETC), status reports and technical reports on assigned projects on a timely basis.
  • Ensures that all stages of the project are properly documented by reports, drawing, photographs, etc., as applicable, to ensure reimbursement for works accomplished and to safeguard proprietary rights.
  • Upon request, prepares estimates for work to be performed in the department. Reviews estimates prepared by subordinates.
  • Prepares schedules for work and ensures that all commitments are met on time. Drives the growth of the Company through improvements in processes, procedures and capital equipment acquisitions.
  • Manages costs within allocated budget limits and informs applicable executive as to costs incurred on projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent and a minimum of 9 years prior RF microwave design and development experience. Master's degree and a minimum of 7 years prior RF microwave design and development experience.
  • Proficiency using RF / EM simulation software, ADS, HFSS or equivalents.
  • Proficiency generating schematics, PCB layout, and hands-on experience evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits to meet specifications.
  • Proficiency using test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes.
  • Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High power control component design and hands-on experience with both packaged surface mount components and bare die.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, and PADS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing per MIL-STD-461 is a plus.
  • Experience with circuits operating up to 40 GHz is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
