Job Summary
We are seeking a Cable Assembler for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Poway, CA, supporting the aerospace and defense industry. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble cable harnesses, wire assemblies, and related electrical components according to drawings, work instructions, and production requirements.
- Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, labeling, and routing as needed for assigned assemblies.
- Read and interpret basic schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly documentation.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic continuity checks to confirm quality and accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and ESD handling requirements.
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve assembly issues and meet build schedules.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $23 to $25 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Build cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electronic interconnect components.
- Perform crimping, soldering, wire prep, labeling, and routing tasks.
- Follow drawings, work instructions, and quality procedures in a production environment.
- Support inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation of completed assemblies.
- 1-2 years of cable assembly, wire harness assembly, or related electronics manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and written work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, cutters, soldering tools, and basic measurement equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing or engineering support environment.
- Dependable attendance, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow established safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, or similar workmanship standards.
- Experience with coaxial cable, RF cable, shielded cable, or complex wire harness assemblies.
- Basic experience performing continuity testing or using multimeters.
- Prior experience working in an ESD-controlled production environment.
