As the Director, Total Rewards, you will play a key role in shaping how Premera attracts, rewards, and retains talent by defining and leading a forwardโlooking strategy tailored to our notโforโprofit needs and competitive marketplace.
What You Will Do
- Set the strategy and shape the future of Total Rewards, establishing a multiโyear roadmap that aligns compensation, benefits, and wellness programs with business priorities and workforce needs.
- Modernize programs to remain competitive, sustainable, and aligned with Premeraโs mission in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Leverage unique industry information to develop, build, and implement innovative valueโadd benefits offerings.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders and the HR leadership team, translating business strategy into thoughtful solutions and guiding critical compensation and benefits decisions.
- Provide governance, oversight, and financial stewardship through partnership with the Benefits Plan Committee, using analytics and reporting to optimize investments and deliver executive insight on engagement, performance, and retention.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a highโperforming Total Rewards team, building capability, providing direction, and fostering a collaborative, resultsโdriven culture.
- Oversee vendors, compliance, internal controls, and thirdโparty risk across programs, ensuring consistent execution, strong governance, and regulatory alignment.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelorโs degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or four years of equivalent professional experience.
- Ten years of progressively responsible experience, including five years managing teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterpriseโwide compensation and/or benefits programs with strong financial, analytical, and governance expertise.
- Proven ability to serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, with strong executive presence and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex qualitative and quantitative information for diverse audiences and operate effectively in ambiguous, fastโpaced environments.
- Preferred certifications: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Employment Benefits Specialist, PHR, SPHR, or Lean certification or equivalent.

Salary
Salary Range: $157,900.00 โ $315,900.00. Compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, market conditions, and candidate experience.
