Description:

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Revit Technician to support our Commercial Land Development team in the Virginia area. The Structural Revit Technician is responsible for developing and coordinating structural models and electronic documents on both large and small-scale projects.

Requirements:
  • Produces high quality structural models and drawings
  • Initiates and maintains an electronic file of structural models and documents for the project
  • Works with the project discipline lead to determine intent and content of each structural model or drawing
  • Embraces collaboration
  • Coordinates structural models and documents with other design disciplines
  • Initiates QA/QC procedures including reviewing documents for conflicts
  • Works with project discipline lead to understand scopes of work, schedules, budgets, project instructions and responsibilities
  • Executes discipline procedures as determined by the department head


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of structural model and electronic document quality standards
  • Interpretation and application of technical instructions
  • Skilled in the application of design concepts
  • Basic engineering knowledge along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Revit and other discipline specific software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree from accredited college or university in related field preferred; Associates degree is acceptable
  • At least two years of relevant experience
