Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a VDC Associate to support the delivery of complex mission critical projects across the United States.
This role is ideal for a hands-on VDC professional with experience in Revit-based MEP modeling who is ready to take on greater production responsibility while continuing to grow their coordination and project-delivery skills. You'll work closely with senior VDC team members, contractors, and project stakeholders to produce coordinated, constructible models and shop drawings that support successful field execution.
What You'll Do
  • Produce detailed Revit models and shop drawings for electrical systems
  • Translate engineering design intent into coordinated, field-ready models supporting fabrication and installation
  • Support project coordination efforts, including clash detection and model resolution using Navisworks
  • Participate in coordination meetings with internal teams, contractors, architects, and design partners
  • Coordinate model revisions, RFIs, and project deliverables while maintaining quality and schedule requirements
  • Work across multiple linked models and disciplines to resolve constructability challenges
  • Collaborate with senior VDC team members to improve modeling standards, workflows, and technical skills

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional VDC, BIM, or construction modeling experience
  • Hands-on proficiency with Autodesk Revit in a production environment
  • Experience modeling MEP systems
  • Experience producing construction models and shop drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and apply design intent
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of contractor-side VDC/BIM experience
  • Mission critical or data center project experience
  • Electrical modeling experience
  • Autodesk Certified Professional, Revit (or similar certification)
Compensation
  • $75,000 - $90,000+ a year
    • Depending on location, experience, education, and skills
