Job description

Job Summary:
FieldAI is transforming how robots interact with the real world, building AI systems to tackle complex challenges in robotics. The Software Engineer, Product will develop customer-facing products, collaborating with various teams to convert robotically captured data into impactful software for job sites.
Responsibilities:
• Own full-stack product features from design through production
• Build scalable backend services using Node.js (Express) and Python
• Develop modern, high-performance frontends using React
• Implement 3D visualization features using Three.js / WebGL
• Design APIs, data models, and system architectures using clean design principles
• Partner closely with AI, robotics, product, and commercial teams
• Debug performance issues and optimize rendering, data, and API pipelines
• Contribute to shared codebases and raise engineering quality through reviews and collaboration
Qualifications:
Required:
• Typically 5–10+ years of experience building and shipping production software
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and React
• Solid system design skills across data modeling, APIs, and UI/UX tradeoffs
• Experience working with MongoDB and Redis (or similar databases)
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred:
• Experience with BIM or construction technology workflows
• Experience with 3D graphics technologies (Three.js, WebGL, shaders, or similar)
• Familiarity with monorepo architectures (Nx, Lerna)
• Experience integrating with Autodesk platforms (Revit, APS/Forge)
• Proficiency using the AWS SDK
• Background working on complex, data-rich, or real-time systems
