NSQIP Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR)
Full-Time, Days
Job Description:
Provides coordination and analysis of the NSQIP surgical database for outcomes reporting and initiatesperformance improvement through collaboration with the surgery pathway.
Demonstrates knowledge of NSQIP database and maintains compliance.
Utilizes NSQIP benchmarks, research, and current literature to display outcomes and lead hospital efforts toimplement best practices.
Communicates all variances from benchmark to the Surgeon Champion, Executive Director of High
Reliability/Outcomes, other physician chairs, and the surgery pathway as indicated.
With the Surgeon Champion identifies and implements plans to begin quality improvement activities for thesurgery program.
Establishes and maintains liaisons within the hospital, physician offices, industry and governmental agencies.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
KY Registered Nurse License or Work Permit
5 years of related experience
Ability to retrieve patient information from various clinical record systems.
Preferred Requirements:
Performance improvement and training in LEAN principles.
