Job Tittle: Revenue Associate

Role summary
The Revenue Associate is responsible for supporting the review, validation, and administration of revenue contracts for U.S. and Canadian entities.
Reporting to the Senior Revenue Manager, the Revenue Associate supports the Revenue Controllership function through contract review, revenue transaction validation, maintenance of supporting documentation, and execution of revenue-related processes. At AVEVA, the Financial Control function has full ownership of entity ledgers, accounting, tax, compliance, treasury, and reporting.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of commercial contracts and revenue accounting principles, and effective collaboration with Sales Operations, Order Entry, Finance Operations, and Shared Service teams. The Revenue Associate plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of revenue-related data and documentation, supporting timely month-end and quarter-end close activities, and contributing to accurate financial reporting.
The Revenue Associate will also support audit and compliance requirements by maintaining appropriate documentation, preparing supporting schedules, and assisting with the execution of established revenue policies, procedures, and controls.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Review customer contracts and support documentation to ensure accurate setup and revenue recognition in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform revenue transaction reviews and validate revenue schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities.
  • Review orders, bookings, and contract modifications for completeness and compliance with established revenue guidelines.
  • Validate revenue data and investigate discrepancies between source systems and financial reports.
  • Prepare revenue-related reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management review.
  • Maintain accurate contract files and revenue accounting documentation in accordance with record retention requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit requests and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending enhancements.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level expectations.
  • Keep up to date with revenue processes, systems, and accounting policy changes impacting day-to-day activities.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors degree or higher education
  • At least One to two years of revenue accounting experience in software industry; IFRS experience desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reconciliations, and handling large datasets.
  • Oracle software experience preferred
  • Ability to use AI-assisted tools to improve reporting efficiency, documentation quality, and business insights while maintaining strong attention to data accuracy and compliance.
