Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:

In this position, you will have the chance to excel in a fast-paced setting, guaranteeing smooth operations and supporting our outstanding standards. As a Buyer Analyst at nVent Management Company, you will:

  • Actively monitor demand indicators to issue purchase orders that meet direct raw material component needs.

  • Manage dates on open purchase orders, monitor vendor performance for timely delivery, and drive vendor development activities.

  • Maintain data integrity of key detailed fields related to demand signaling to ensure accurate purchase order placement.

  • Proactively analyze data to collaborate with suppliers and the Strategic Sourcing Team to detect potential supply risks and apply solutions.

  • Provide detailed information on encouraged availability of materials cross-functionally with Production Planning, Operations, and other teams.

  • Leverage analytics to understand inventory levels and efficient stock positions of raw material components.

  • Develop commodity market awareness and comprehension of supply base.

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing Team to coordinate replenishment strategies and assess opportunities for improvement.

  • Direct efforts to optimize procedures involving raw material component procurement.

  • Collaborate with Production and Receiving teams to coordinate return material authorization efforts for defective or non-conforming material.

  • Interact with suppliers regularly and participate in monthly or quarterly business reviews.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain management/procurement or a related field (preferred).

  • Experience working within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

  • Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) programs.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with different cross-functional teams.

  • Robust organizational abilities including time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

  • Capacity to leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making or forecast future requirements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$62,900.00 - $116,900.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
