Position Summary:

Bidwell Consulting Services (BCS), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a skilled Retirement Plan Compliance Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for a retirement plan professional who enjoys the technical and analytical side of plan administration without the responsibility of managing client relationships or maintaining a dedicated book of business. In this internal-facing role, you will partner closely with our Consultants to support retirement plan compliance across the firm's entire client base, ensuring plans remain compliant with IRS and ERISA regulations while delivering accurate, high-quality work.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States. We welcome candidates from all U.S. time zones; however, due to the primary locations of our partners and clients, preference will be given to those in the Pacific time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform annual retirement plan administration and compliance services for qualified retirement plans.
  • Complete plan valuations and prepare compliance testing, including:
    • ADP/ACP Testing
    • IRC Section 415 Testing
    • IRC Section 414 Testing
    • Coverage Testing
    • Top Heavy Testing
  • Review compliance work for technical accuracy, identify potential issues, and recommend corrections or alternative testing approaches.
  • Analyze participant census data and calculate employer contributions.
  • Analyze and reconcile plan assets.
  • Interpret plan documents and amendments to ensure accurate application of plan provisions.
  • Prepare and review Form 5500 filings.
  • Calculate lost earnings associated with late participant contributions when required.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve retirement plan compliance and benefit issues.
  • Collaborate with internal Consultants and team members to support compliance needs across the firm's retirement plan portfolio.
  • Maintain current knowledge of IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations affecting qualified retirement plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of retirement plan administration or retirement plan compliance experience.
  • Strong understanding of qualified retirement plan compliance and annual administration.
  • Experience performing non-discrimination and compliance testing, including ADP/ACP, 415, 414, coverage, and Top-Heavy testing.
  • Experience preparing Form 5500 filings.
  • Ability to interpret retirement plan documents and amendments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using CalcAir (Datair) software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical field.
  • ASPPA credential (QKA or other designation) or progress toward certification.
  • Experience working in a TPA or retirement plan consulting environment.

Pay Transparency Statement:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $50,000-$75,000 annually.

At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
