At Wilshire Benefits Group, we're seeking a dynamic, driven, and proactive Retirement Plan Account Manager to join us on our mission to deliver exceptional service and support to our valued clients. As a key member of the Retirement Planning team, you will play a strategic role in expanding our retirement services, growing the book of business and plan participation, and providing expert financial guidance. Your proactive approach and problem-solving abilities will help us exceed expectations and make a meaningful impact every day.


Your duties will include:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with leadership and team members to strategize, share insights, and ensure cohesive teamwork; Partner with other departments and outside channel partners to align with company growth targets
  • Client Engagement: Coordinate and prepare for client reviews, manage enrollments, and support compliance testing and government filings.
  • Employee Support: Provide clear guidance on 401(k) loans and transfers, lead educational sessions, and conduct one-on-one meetings.
  • Plan Management: Set up and maintain retirement plans using vendor systems, analyze data, and recommend plan changes
  • Wealth Management: Conduct individual financial planning to help individuals review estate planning, life insurance needs, annuities, long term care solutions, and other products.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with colleagues and vendors to enhance communication and service.
  • Data Integrity: Gather, audit, and maintain accurate reports and documents.
  • Communication Excellence: Create and refine materials to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Special Projects: Take on projects, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team goals.

Requirements

  • Proactive in seeking and implementing improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality with demonstrated moral and ethical standards
  • Series 6 & 63 qualified (or willing to achieve within a year)
  • Experience in administering retirement plans and annual plan reviews for Plan Sponsors helpful
  • At least 2 years of financial or Qualified Retirement Plan experience preferred 
  • Familiarity with Northwestern Mutual systems and platforms a plus
