Schedule
1st shift position
  • 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Approximately 40 hours per pay period
  • Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

2nd Shift Position
  • 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Approximately 20-25 a pay period
  • Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

Position Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, home-style meals for approximately 40 assisted living residents. The ideal candidate enjoys cooking, works well with others, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve home-style meals for approximately 40 residents
  • Prepare meals from scratch following planned menus and recipes
  • Follow dietary guidelines and special meal requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with team members to provide an excellent dining experience
  • Assist with kitchen cleanup and other dietary duties as needed

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Previous cooking experience required; scratch cooking experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
  • Compassion and a genuine desire to serve the elderly
