Job description

Please consider volunteering your time to help our students get back on track! Volunteer In Paradise is an award winning program. PVSchools is the first school district in Arizona with a program certified by Points of Light. We provide you with training to be an effective and confident tutor. By giving just a couple of hours a week (either in person or online) you will meet new friends while working alongside other outstanding volunteers and you will team with our amazing teachers to help our students experience success. Why not be a VIP in PV? Visit www.pvschools.net/VIP or send an email to Marisha Geraghty at VolunteerInParadise@pvlearners.net.

One in five Volunteer In Paradise tutors are retired teachers, but we welcome volunteers with a variety of talent and experience. If you like children, enjoy learning new things, and would like to make a difference in the life of a child, you are qualified to be a VIP!

Volunteers are paired with teachers based on their interests and schedules and give academic assistance to students in kindergarten through third grade. Ongoing training and support is provided.

Find out why one of our long-time VIPs had this to say: "...Being a VIP has made a huge difference in my retirement. I love working with the kids, have tremendous respect for the teachers I work with, and have learned so much...my weeks just aren't as fulfilling when I am not engaged there." Register for a no-obligation orientation at www.pvschools.net/VIP or Visit www.pvschools.net/VIP or send an email to Marisha Geraghty at VolunteerInParadise@pvlearners.net.
