JOB TITLE: Retired Teacher Tutor (Certificated)
SITE LOCATION OF POSITION: Multiple positions at all sites.
TERM/HOURS OF POSITIONS: Hours/days to be determined by tutor and coordinated with site principal.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Under the direction of the principal, the tutor will be assigned to a grade level. The time spent in each classroom will be proportional to the number of identified children in each room.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Certification (Certificated Substitute Permit (30 Day Sub Permit or Prospective Sub Permit or Teaching Credential issued by CTC)

  • Completed Certificates from Get Safety Trained
  • TB Screening Result
  • Copy of Driver's License
  • Copy of Social Security Card

Required Application Procedure:
Substitute teachers must contact KCSOS Credentialing Department at (661) 636-4747 to begin the process of being placed on the county-wide substitute list. This is a prerequisite to applying with Standard School District as a substitute teacher. Once on the County list, prospective substitutes will need to stop by our district office and pick up and complete a physical substitute packet: 1200 N. Chester Ave. Bakersfield, CA 93308. All documents supporting the application requirements noted above must accompany your application in order to receive consideration. It shall be the applicant's responsibility to supply copies of all documentation, letters of recommendation etc. or other related materials.
SALARY: $50.00 per hour
