General Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during your assigned shift, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the highest level of resident care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure quality resident care
  • Provide direct nursing care including assessments, treatments, and medication administration
  • Monitor residents' conditions and report changes to physicians and care team
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in medical records
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Make daily rounds to assess resident care and staff performance
  • Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
  • Support and guide CNAs and LVNs in delivering care
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current, active California RN license in good standing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
