Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our
Memory Care Unit on a part-time day shift schedule. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced nurses, semi-retired nurses, parents returning to the workforce, or healthcare professionals looking to supplement their current schedule while making a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults.

Position Details
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing, Middlebury, VT
Schedule: Part-Time, 8 Hours per Week
Shift: Days, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Weekend Requirement: Rotating Weekends
Unit: Memory Care
What You'll Do
As a nurse on our Memory Care Unit, you will:
- Provide skilled nursing care to residents living with memory loss and cognitive impairment
- Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Support resident safety, comfort, and quality of life
- Collaborate with nursing assistants, providers, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Communicate effectively with families and care team members
- Promote a calm, supportive, resident-centered environment
- Advocate for residents while maintaining dignity and respect in every interaction
Qualifications
RN Candidates
- Current Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for Vermont licensure
LPN Candidates
- Current Vermont Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligibility for Vermont licensure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in memory care, long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation, geriatrics, or acute care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
