What is a retired police officer?

Retired police officers are individuals who have completed their service in law enforcement and have officially left active duty, typically after reaching a certain age or fulfilling years of service requirements. They may receive pension benefits and retain some legal authorities or privileges, depending on local laws. Many retired police officers stay active in their communities, work in security, or engage in consulting and mentoring roles. Their skills and experience are often sought after in both public and private sectors.

What types of second-career opportunities are commonly available for retired police officers?

Jobs for retired police officers often focus on providing security in the private sector. Your duties in these jobs vary depending on the nature of the work. Job description

SOLICITATION OF APPLICATION

FOR EMPLOYMENT OF

PERSONAL PROTECTION OFFICER

Executive Protection Agent / Protective Driver | DFW Operations

POSITION OVERVIEW

Blue Goose Security Transportation, LLC (โ€œBlue Gooseโ€) provides executive protection and secure luxury transportation services to executives, business leaders, and high-profile individuals across the Dallasโ€“Fort Worth metroplex. Blue Goose is building its founding roster of Personal Protection Officers โ€” a role for senior protectors ready to continue their mission in the private sector, serving principals who demand the same excellence delivered downrange or on the job.

Blue Goose was founded by a Navy SEAL and retired police detective who understands what the transition from service to civilian life requires โ€” an organization that matches the operatorโ€™s standards. The founding roster is being built deliberately. This position begins as part-time W-2 employment, with full-time conversion as Blue Goose grows.

This is a non-binding solicitation of an application for employment and is not a binding offer of employment. The actual terms of employment will be negotiated by the successful applicant and Blue Goose only after the application process and background investigations have been completed and the parties have agreed in writing upon the actual terms of employment.

Employment may be terminated at any time at the discretion of Blue Goose.

POSITION DETAILS

$39.00/hour starting; senior operators evaluated for elevated compensation based on credentials and experience

Projected Start Date:

Approximately 2 weeks from offer acceptance

WHY BLUE GOOSE โ€” CONTINUE YOUR MISSION

You did not spend years in the teams, the unit, or on the job to operate at someone elseโ€™s standard. Blue Goose was built by operators, for operators. Our founder walked the same ground โ€” Hostage Rescue, combat deployments, detective work, and head of state protective details.

โ€ข    Led by a Navy SEAL and retired police detective who currently protects Fortune 500 principals

โ€ข    Founding roster โ€” operators on the founding team will lead as Blue Goose expands into Houston, Austin, and beyond

โ€ข    Work alongside fellow Special Operations veterans and elite law enforcement professionals โ€” no mall cops, no warm bodies, no filler

โ€ข    W-2 employment from day one โ€” workersโ€™ comp, payroll taxes, and full legal protections covered

โ€ข    Premium fleet โ€” Cadillac Escalade ESV and Mercedes-Benz S-Class, maintained to inspection standard

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

Part-Time (Initial Employment)

โ€ข    Starting Rate: $39.00/hour

โ€ข    Senior operators with extensive EP, SOF, or elite LE backgrounds may be evaluated for elevated starting compensation based on credentials and experience

โ€ข    Annual Base: approximately $81,120 (before overtime)

โ€ข    Health insurance (employer contribution)

โ€ข    401(k) with employer match

โ€ข    Paid time off and paid holidays

โ€ข    Continuing education and professional development support

PATH TO FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT

Blue Goose is building its founding roster through demonstrated competence under real operational conditions. Full-time conversion is a function of company expansion, client demand, and operator performance โ€” not seniority or time served.

Evaluation Criteria (6โ€“12 Months)

โ€ข    Client satisfaction and principal feedback

โ€ข    Punctuality, reliability, and assignment completion

โ€ข    Vehicle care and maintenance adherence

โ€ข    Professionalism and cultural fit with Blue Goose standards
