About the job

Join SR400 Constructors on the $4.6B SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, one of the largest roadway projects in the United States. This a major infrastructure undertaking managed by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to add 16 miles of new tolled express lanes along State Route 400. This project will transform a critical route and support mobility in one of the nation’s fastest growing regions.

Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Setting up and maintaining traffic control devices such as cones, signs, barricades, and flagging materials to redirect traffic.
  • Directing traffic using hand signals, flags, or other approved methods to ensure the safe passage of vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Monitoring traffic flow and adjusting traffic control measures as necessary to maintain a smooth and safe traffic pattern.
  • Providing clear and concise instructions to drivers to navigate through the work zone and avoid potential hazards.
  • Communicating with construction crews, law enforcement, and other personnel to coordinate traffic control efforts and ensure everyone's safety. Provide ongoing safety, productivity, and professional growth training.
  • Reporting any traffic incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions to appropriate authorities or supervisors.
  • Assisting with the maintenance and repair of traffic control devices when needed.
  • Following all applicable safety regulations and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Attending training sessions and staying up-to-date with the latest traffic control techniques and regulations.
  • Report on daily base to the Forman with all the paperwork required (trucks number, time in and out, check list ….)


Qualifications Required


  • Must be committed to “Guaranteed Safety” in all decisions and actions
  • Must have a valid Class C Driver’s License
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass full-panel drug screen

Preferred

  • Previous Traffic Control Technician Experience in the Tree Care Industry
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish
