Job description

Nouria Energy Corporation is a multi-generational family-owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator and car wash operator in New England. Our wholesale and retail fuel businesses are multi-branded, which includes Shell, Mobil, Irving, Sunoco, Gulf, Valero, Citgo, Phillips 66, Exxon, and multiple unbranded brands. Our wholesale operations supply branded and unbranded fuel to 300+ locations across New England and New York. We are ranked within the top 50 largest convenience store chains in the country, operating 150+ company-operated locations throughout New England and ranked within the top 10 largest car wash chains in the country

The Visual Merchandising Specialist is responsible for executing the design of Nouria's store layout in Cumberland County, ME, including fixture placement, product arrangement, and overall flow, to maximize customer experience and sales by utilizing space efficiently while aligning with brand and merchandising strategies;key responsibilities include analyzing sales data, collaborating with merchandising and marketing teams, executing planograms and ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Promotes visual merchandising excellence in assigned Nouria locations through understanding brand strategies, integrity, and thoughtful merchandising.
  • Leads and executes store resets.
  • Performs assembly and installation of fixtures and PDQs.
  • Makes adjustments needed to maintain strategies and create elevated presentations.
  • Partners with the store team to solve new merchandising opportunities.
  • Remerchandise products to maximize sales and react to trends, weather, and inventory levels.
  • Responsible for performing installations as part of remodels, vendor-supported activities, decommissions, disaster recovery, and other company initiatives.
  • Assists in training new team members through job shadowing and sharing best practices.
  • Makes the customer a priority when approached and provides legendary customer service in stores.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-Starter
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
  • Ability to lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
