Job description

Description:

At Red’s All Natural, we are on a mission to make real food more convenient. We believe frozen food should be made with high-quality ingredients, exceptional taste, and ingredients consumers can feel good about. As one of the fastest-growing brands in frozen foods, we are redefining what consumers expect from the category.

Red’s All Natural is seeking a curious, analytical, and collaborative Category Strategy Manager to help drive our next phase of growth. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this individual will serve as the organization’s expert on category, competitor, brand, shopper, and marketplace performance. Candidates located in the greater Nashville area will have the option to work from the company’s Nashville-area office, but there is no regular in-office requirement.

This highly cross-functional role sits at the intersection of analytics and strategy and partners closely with Marketing and Sales. The Category Strategy Manager will translate data and consumer insights into actionable recommendations that strengthen brand strategy, retailer selling stories, innovation, and commercialization efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the internal category expert for frozen handheld, breakfast, and snacking categories.
  • Analyze syndicated data, retailer point-of-sale data, household panel data, shopper insights, and consumer research to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Develop compelling, data-driven category and customer presentations.
  • Partner with Sales to support customer-specific selling stories, line reviews, annual business planning, retailer presentations, and assortment recommendations.
  • Identify distribution, pricing, assortment, and promotional opportunities through data-driven analysis.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing and Innovation to inform product development, packaging, positioning, commercialization, and product improvement decisions.
  • Develop business cases for new products, packaging renovations, and other strategic growth initiatives.
  • Create dashboards and recurring reports that monitor brand, category, customer, and competitive performance.
  • Conduct market-sizing analyses, opportunity assessments, and competitive reviews.
  • Support annual planning by providing clear insights and commercially focused recommendations.
  • Coordinate with external analytics partners, research providers, and syndicated data vendors.
  • Help foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with complex data and communicating clear recommendations through strong storytelling and compelling presentations. This person will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoy using insights to solve business challenges and shape the growth of an emerging consumer brand.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of experience in category management, shopper insights, consumer insights, commercial strategy, sales analytics, or a related function within the consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Strong experience using syndicated data platforms such as Circana, NielsenIQ, or SPINS.
  • Experience using household panel and shopper insights platforms such as Numerator.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience creating compelling presentations and communicating insights to commercial and executive audiences.
  • Strong commercial judgment with an understanding of distribution, pricing, promotion, assortment, and retailer performance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Innovation, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership in a fast-paced, growing organization.
  • Experience working for both a large CPG organization and a smaller, high-growth consumer brand is preferred.
  • Experience supporting new product launches, packaging initiatives, innovation, or commercialization efforts is preferred.

Red’s All Natural is an equal opportunity employer. We value diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences and are committed to providing an inclusive workplace for all employees.
