# NATIONAL SALES MANAGER - RETAIL TAPESCorporate - Franklin, KY 42134## OverviewSalary Range$74,340.00 - $212,400.00 SalaryPosition TypeFull TimeJob Shift1st (8 hours)## DescriptionPosition Summary:Responsible for the development, expansion, and commercial management of assigned retail tape accounts to achieve company revenue, margin, and market share objectives. This role requires a hunter mindset with the ability to drive organic growth through deeper penetration of several significant retail customers, development of new retail opportunities, and disciplined execution across both branded and private-label programs.You will be a key player in expanding Vybond’s Retail Tapes presence by understanding the needs of large, complex retailers and big-box stores, including their buying behaviors, category review processes, merchandising requirements, procedural expectations, and focus markets. The ideal candidate will have experience operating in both B2B and B2C environments, with the ability to translate consumer demand, retailer strategy, and product/category performance into profitable growth plans.Key Responsibilities:* Manage and grow strategic retail tape accounts, including large national retailers, big-box stores, buying groups, e-commerce platforms, and private-label customers.* Develop and execute account growth plans that align Vybond capabilities with retailer category strategies, consumer buying trends, seasonal demand, promotional calendars, and margin improvement objectives.* Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers including merchants, category managers, product managers, procurement, private-brand teams, supply chain, replenishment, and e-commerce stakeholders.* Identify new business opportunities, product line extensions, private-label programs, branded placements, and channel expansion opportunities across retail-focused tape applications.* Lead customer line reviews, assortment discussions, pricing negotiations, promotional planning, and cost-justification discussions to support profitable growth.* Understand, manage and lead team coordination in the procedural needs of large retailers, including item setup, vendor compliance, packaging requirements, product data, images, planograms, replenishment expectations, scorecards, and service-level requirements.* Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Product Development to deliver retail-ready solutions that meet customer requirements and consumer expectations.* Use POS data, sell-through trends, market insights, competitive activity, and retailer feedback to recommend assortment, pricing, packaging, and promotional actions.* Track performance, forecast revenue, manage pipeline activity, and report on customer opportunities, risks, and next steps using CRM tools and other company-provided software.* Represent the company at customer meetings, retail line reviews, trade shows, market events, and industry forums as needed.* Stay informed on consumer trends, retail category shifts, competitor activity, channel conflict, tariff/inflation impacts, and market dynamics affecting retail tapes.## QualificationsQualifications:* 4-year degree or equivalent professional experience with 7+ years of sales, national account management, or category/customer development experience in retail, consumer products, building products, hardware, home improvement, adhesives, tapes, or related manufactured goods.* Demonstrated success managing large, complex retail accounts and/or big-box customers while exceeding sales, margin, EBITDA, and pipeline targets.* Experience working in both B2B and B2C environments, with the ability to connect retailer requirements, consumer buying behavior, product positioning, and commercial execution.* Strong understanding of retail go-to-market models, including branded programs, private-label programs, category reviews, retail packaging, merchandising, promotional planning, POS analysis, and omnichannel/e-commerce requirements.* Well-organized with excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.* Proven ability to lead diverse internal and external teams toward consensus, timely execution, and shared growth goals.* Ability to travel up to 50% domestically for customer meetings, line reviews, trade shows, store walks, plant visits, and cross-functional planning sessions.* Has an ownership mindset while establishing and growing customer relationships based on openness, honesty, trust, responsiveness, and disciplined follow-through.* Proficiency with data-driven sales tools, CRM platforms, retail reporting, POS analysis, and Microsoft Office; Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
