Position Summary:

This role isresponsibletoprovidedirection and support to retail department managers to drive category performance and achieve sales,growthand profitabilityobjectives. Monitor and access store performance, develop and implement new processes,proceduresand programs to increase productivity, andassistin new and re-model store opening, set-up,trainingand operations.

Here'swhatyou'lldo:

  • Responsible for assigned retail stores to meet and deliver established sales and profitability through merchandising plans and processes.

  • Ensure the successful and consistent implementation of category business plans and merchandising plans in collaboration with department management; plans include the areas of assortment, pricing,promotionand shelf placement.

  • Participate in the operational execution of retail policies, plans and programs in areas of inventory and asset management, merchandising, facilities maintenance,safetyand security.

  • Monitor and access assigned retail stores performance vs. budgeted goals andobjective; analyze andidentifyopportunities for improvements andassistto develop strategies that position stores to perform at or above budget levels.

  • Responsible to work with assigned group of stores to manage and control the location(s) operations to ensure consistency with Company standards,policyand expectations.

  • Collaborate with internal departments (i.e.,Marketing, Merchandising, Promotions, etc.) to support consistent execution of approved advertising plans and store promotions.

  • Responsible forprovidingcoaching, training,directionand support to retail department associates.

  • Instruct and alignassociates'functions and duties to meet the productivity standards.

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best merchandising practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Associate's Degree(Required) Marketing, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

  • Threeyears'experience in merchandising or management in a retail setting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, project management and analytical skills.

  • Ability to provide work direction to associates and coordinate team workload.

  • Ability to drive, develop and execute new programs to create sales and profits for future growth.

  • Basic knowledge of retail stores and grocery department functions.

  • Ability to maintain a strong customer focus and a high degree of professionalism when dealing with internal customers and leaders.

  • Strong proficiency in MS office applications (i.e.,Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Ability to travel up to 75% to retail locations to include local and overnight travel.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
