Sales Operations Manager

We're seeking a hands-on Sales Operations Manager to lead our Inside Sales and Service Parts team while driving process improvements across commercial operations. This is a high-impact role for a customer-focused, analytically minded leader who wants to build deep product expertise and shape operational excellence within a dynamic and growing business.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Inside Sales OE and Service Parts team, driving operational efficiency, accuracy, and performance across all activities.
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively manage relationships with existing customers, follow up on quotations, address concerns, and uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Marketing Oversight: Oversee marketing initiatives including social media, trade show planning, website presence, and other brand-related efforts to support business growth.
  • Product Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Marmon-Herrington product line, including bills of material and heavy truck part functionality.
  • Operational Efficiency: Collaborate across departments to identify process bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and implement tools to streamline business operations and increase throughput.
  • E-Commerce Development: Partner with key vendors to support the implementation and continuous improvement of an e-commerce platform, ensuring efficient use of internal resources.
  • Sales Analysis: Analyze customer buying behavior to identify missed opportunities, upsell potential, and areas for improving customer retention. Manage annual sales and budget planning while supporting President and Finance with development of Strategic Planning and annual review.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Build and maintain a competitive database to monitor market trends, assess competitor offerings, and identify strategic gaps.
  • Inventory Alignment: Work with Procurement and Finance to balance inventory levels that support growth goals while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Customer Re-engagement: Identify and implement strategies to re-engage lapsed or low-activity customers to drive renewed interest and revenue.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly updates to leadership, detailing customer engagement, sales activities, and progress toward development goals.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 15 years of professional experience in sales support, service parts, technical customer service, commercial vehicle market, or related fields.
  • Strong ability to design, maintain, and optimize websites; well-versed in social media content creation and digital engagement strategies.
  • Skilled in establishing efficient processes and procedures, with the ability to identify areas for improvement, recommend solutions, and implement tools to modernize and streamline workflows.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization capabilities.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in ERP systems with the ability to recommend solutions that enhance business process efficiency.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak Portuguese a plus but not required.
  • Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer experience while also managing the needs of the business and annual budget.
  • Interest in long-term development within Parts, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, or Customer Support leadership roles.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, customer meetings, or support as needed.
