Retail Planogram Merchandisers are professionals responsible for organizing and arranging products on store shelves according to a set plan, known as a planogram. Their main goal is to maximize product visibility, enhance the shopping experience, and boost sales by ensuring products are displayed in the most effective way. They work closely with store managers and suppliers, follow specific guidelines, and may be involved in inventory management, product rotation, and setting up promotional displays. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of retail merchandising software.

Additionally, being proactive in problem-solving and staying updated on product and placement guidelines will help ensure smooth and effective merchandising.

To thrive as a Retail Planogram Merchandiser, you need strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and experience with visual merchandising—often supported by a high school diploma or relevant retail experience. Familiarity with planogram software (like Apollo or JDA), handheld inventory devices, and basic Microsoft Office skills is highly valuable.
