YOU WILL BE

The Senior Art Director is responsible for developing compelling editorial imagery for Exemplar Luxury Group. In this role, you will translate creative strategy into elevated visual storytelling across fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, ensuring every asset reflects the sophistication and consistency of the ELG brand. You will art direct photography and video shoots, oversee the development and refinement of design assets, and collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Lead Art Director, designers, copywriters, marketers, stylists, photographers, and production partners to deliver best-in-class work across digital, social, print, and retail channels. Combining strong conceptual thinking with exceptional attention to design and craft, you will create visually compelling work that supports brand objectives while maintaining the highest standards of design and execution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Partner with the Creative Director/Lead Art Director to execute the creative vision across integrated campaigns, seasonal advertising, editorial content, lookbooks, events, digital experiences, social media, email, and direct mail. Art direct fashion, beauty, and lifestyle photography and video shoots through final execution, ensuring elevated visual storytelling, exceptional creative quality, and alignment with brand standards. Art direct and design compelling print and digital creative, applying exceptional typography, composition, color, imagery, and luxury retail design principles. Build out creative concepts, mood boards, visual references, layouts, and design explorations that communicate ideas clearly and inspire creative alignment. Collaborate closely with photographers, stylists, producers, designers, copywriters, retouchers, and production partners to deliver best-in-class creative from concept through final execution. Guide image retouching and post-production by reviewing and marking up retouching proofs, providing direction on color, composition, product accuracy, skin tones, and overall image quality to maintain the highest creative standards. Partner with retouchers and post-production teams to ensure consistency, refinement, and visual excellence across all final imagery. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external brand partners to develop co-op and collaborative creative that supports both ELG and partner objectives. Stay informed on fashion, luxury retail, photography, design, and cultural trends, translating insights into fresh, innovative creative solutions. Manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously, balancing creative excellence, production requirements, timelines, and business objectives in a fast-paced environment. Provide guidance and mentorship to designers and junior art directors, fostering collaboration, craftsmanship, and creative growth. Ensure all creative assets are production-ready, technically accurate, and executed to the highest standards across print, digital, social, retail, and emerging platforms.

WHAT YOU WILL BRINGRequired Qualifications

10+ years of art direction and design experience within luxury fashion, retail, editorial, or a related creative industry. Exceptional portfolio demonstrating excellence in integrated campaigns, editorial storytelling, and art direction across print, digital, social, and experiential channels. Proven experience art directing fashion, beauty, and lifestyle photography and video shoots from pre-production through on-set direction and post-production. Expert understanding of typography, composition, color, imagery, and luxury visual design, with a refined eye for craft, consistency, and detail. Strong knowledge of luxury fashion, retail, photography, visual culture, and emerging design trends, with the ability to translate creative inspiration into compelling visual solutions. Extensive experience overseeing image retouching and post-production, providing clear creative direction to ensure all final assets meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and brand integrity. Strong understanding of print production, color management, digital asset creation, and omnichannel content development. Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while balancing creative excellence, production requirements, timelines, and business objectives. Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with experience partnering effectively across creative, marketing, merchandising, editorial, production, and cross-functional teams. Experience mentoring designers and junior art directors, providing thoughtful creative guidance while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Passion for fashion, photography, art, interiors, architecture, design, and culture, with a curiosity for emerging creative influences and luxury consumer trends.

Preferred Qualifications

Exceptional portfolio demonstrating expertise in art direction, editorial storytelling, typography, layout, and visual design across integrated fashion, luxury, and omnichannel campaigns. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and presentation tools, with experience using After Effects and other creative applications to support motion, video, and digital-first content. Experience art directing motion, video, and digital-first creative across social media, editorial, and integrated marketing campaigns. Proven ability to manage complex creative productions from concept through final execution, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external creative partners.
