Position Summary:
The retail operations manager will provide operational business support to Retail Director & Store teams. They act as a business partner by providing value-added analysis to facilitate business decisions, support the growth and development of Breitling USA by delivering management control systems, to supervise performance against agreed budgets and to evaluate the standards of business risks management to ensure corporate governance practices and a balanced risks & control environment promoted throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
BUSINESS PARTNER
  • To be a strong partner to the Retail Director in the day to day operational and performance management support
  • Act as guardian of sales plan objectives to monitoring closely the operational expenses versus the authorized budgets and sales performance
  • Ensure that business decisions are taken with consideration for the best possible return on investment.
  • Empower the retail staff with knowledge to improve their KPI's

STORE NETWORK
  • Oversee Retail Sales Analyst in preparing business analysis and reports, regular or upon request of the Retail Director or President of Breitling USA
  • Ensure the smooth day to day running of stores
  • Work closely with other departments on all store new openings, closures, relocations and refurbishment projects
  • Support the store managers with any operational, maintenance or personnel issues
  • Work closely with other departments on the implementation of new systems into the stores, to ensure any and all requirements are fulfilled
  • Work closely with other departments such as Finance and SAV to handle issues that may arise in an efficient way
  • Develop and implement improved procedures and methods of working
  • Provide support and guidance to regional managers
  • Monitor the operational excellence of the stores in line with the corporate targets (for example: KPIs follow up, express training needs, monitor and solve inventory issues)

MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEMS
  • To supervise the implementation of all controls in NA (retail procedures)
  • To ensure security environments well set up, which include security company contracts and arrangement; for both normal business hours and special situations (such as events) CCTV & security alarm management
  • To work alongside and oversee Retail Coordinator to ensure safeguarding of inventory by organizing weekly/monthly/quarterly inventory counts as required
  • To coordinate the control and the follow-up of the stock discrepancies
  • Retail manual: ensure the retail team respects all guidelines
  • To partake in external and internal control audits and manage the subsequent outcome/to do list
  • To assist with the submission of budgets, revisions and strat plans, for Sales, CAPEX and FTE
  • To maintain control of outsourced service professional contracts such as cleaning teams

HUMAN RESOURCES
  • Sales commission calculations
  • To work closely with HR team for any HR related issues

Education/Experience:
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the operation requirements in luxury goods industry
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years in retail environments - luxury a plus
  • Use of retail systems and project management
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus
  • Working in a cross functional capacity
