Join our team and help provide guests with the supplies, merchandise, and service they need to enjoy their time at the lake.

Location: Del Valle Marina - Livermore, CA
Reports To: General Manager
Department: Retail Operations

Position Summary

The Retail Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while supporting the daily operations of the marina retail store. This position assists guests with purchases, maintains merchandise displays, processes sales transactions, and helps ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with merchandise selection and answering questions about products and marina services.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and electronic payments.
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer and complete opening and closing cash procedures.
  • Receive, stock, organize, and replenish merchandise, beverages, snacks, fishing supplies, boating accessories, and other retail inventory.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays.
  • Assist with inventory counts and notify management of low-stock items.
  • Receive deliveries and properly organize inventory in storage areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the retail store, stockrooms, and guest service areas.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and cash handling standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient daily operations and an exceptional guest experience.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
