Overall Job Summary

The Gift Card Specialist supports the execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of Tractor Supply Company's gift card program. This role is responsible for delivering data-driven insights, maintaining operational processes, and supporting key business initiatives across inventory planning, promotions, and financial reporting.
Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Treasury, Inventory Planning, and external partners, this role ensures the gift card program operates efficiently, maintains data accuracy, and supports program growth. The Specialist applies analytical skills and attention to detail to identify trends, resolve issues, and contribute to ongoing program optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Inventory & Production Support

  • Analyze historical sales trends, seasonality, and vendor inputs to support gift card inventory forecasts and replenishment planning.
  • Maintain reporting tools to monitor inventory levels, sell-through, buy-to-sell ratios, and stock positions.
  • Review third-party Suggested Order Quantities (SOQs) and provide data-driven recommendations for consideration.
  • Support gift card production processes, including purchase order tracking, pricing validation, specification reviews, proof approvals, delivery tracking, and invoice reconciliation

Marketing & Sales Support

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution of the gift card program, including submitting and tracking marketing requests for in-store and digital collateral.
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, and Merchandising teams to support the development and deployment of gift card collateral aligned to campaign timelines.
  • Build and maintain reporting to evaluate promotional performance, including sales lift, budget utilization, and ROI.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on post-event analysis to support future campaign planning.

Financial & Operational Support

  • Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to research and resolve gift card transaction discrepancies.
  • Support audit requests, internal reviews, and documentation of processes and controls.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of gift card data across reporting systems and tools.
  • Assist in monitoring key performance metrics and identifying trends or anomalies requiring further investigation.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of experience in analytics, inventory planning, financial analysis, retail operations, or a related field. Experience with gift card programs, retail inventory, or promotional analysis preferred.


Education:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently within defined responsibilities while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Interest in agriculture, animals, gardening, or outdoor lifestyle is a plus.
