What is contract retail gift card merchandising?

Contract retail gift card merchandising involves working as an independent contractor or through a third-party company to manage and maintain gift card displays in retail stores. Merchandisers are responsible for stocking, organizing, and rotating gift cards, ensuring displays are neat and current, and sometimes setting up new promotions or signage. This role typically requires traveling to multiple store locations, following detailed instructions, and reporting work completed, often with photos. It offers flexible hours but may require reliable transportation and attention to detail.

How do contract retail gift card merchandisers coordinate with store staff to ensure optimal product placement and inventory management?

Contract retail gift card merchandisers regularly communicate with store managers and staff to arrange promotional displays, ensure gift card racks are fully stocked, and address any inventory discrepancies. They often work independently but must adapt to each store's unique layout and policies, collaborating closely with in-store teams to maintain brand standards and resolve any issues that arise. Building positive relationships with store personnel is key to accessing stockrooms, handling replenishments efficiently, and ensuring timely updates on new promotions or planogram changes.
