$235,000 – $390,000+

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 50 firm in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in sophisticated bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, and distressed transactions involving complex financial and commercial matters.

Ideal Background

2–6 years of bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights, or related experience

• Experience with Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, distressed transactions, and insolvency matters

• Experience representing debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, financial institutions, committees, or other stakeholders

• Experience drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, restructuring agreements, and other bankruptcy-related documents

• Experience with creditor remedies, workouts, distressed debt, DIP financing, and bankruptcy-related litigation is a plus

• Experience conducting legal research and handling sophisticated matters before bankruptcy and federal courts

• Experience supporting complex restructurings from initial strategy through resolution

• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

• Excellent client service and communication skills

• Strong academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
