Job description

The Restore Associate is responsible for the engagement of customers, donors, and volunteers in ReStore and Donation Center on a daily basis.

  1. Primary Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers on sales floor

  • Supervising volunteers

  • Operating cash register

  • Merchandising ReStore floor

  • Ensuring DC and sales floor are safe environments by removing hazards and practicing safe lifting and moving tactics

  • Accepting donation drop offs and providing donation receipt when needed

  • Answering phones and providing merchandise information, store policies, location and hours, etc.

  • Price merchandise

  • Report any incidents or maintenance issues to Operations Manager immediately

  1. Other Duties as Needed:

  • Drive and or ride in truck to pick up donated goods and operate vehicles within local, state, and federal guidelines

  • Complete paperwork, receipts and online confirmation of all pick-ups

  • Unload truck donations and bring to floor department

  • Cleaning and straightening ReStore floor, offices, Donation Center and lots

  • Assist with social media

  • Count out register and daily deposit

  • Other Duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will direct volunteers when assigned

Work Environment
This job operates in a retail and warehouse environment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds up to 80 pounds with help. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday based on the needs of the business. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
