Repair Estimator - Restoration / Construction

Location: Orange County, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Repair Estimator to join our growing restoration and construction team. This hybrid role combines fieldwork, client relationship management, estimating, and insurance coordination to support restoration projects from initial inspection through contract execution.

This position is ideal for someone who understands restoration workflows, enjoys interacting with clients, and has strong estimating and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Visit job sites to meet with homeowners, clients, and stakeholders

  • Prepare detailed repair estimates using Xactimate software

  • Negotiate estimate approvals and supplements with insurance carriers

  • Review project scope and accurately document repair requirements

  • Present estimates and finalize contracts with homeowners and clients

  • Maintain communication with clients throughout the estimating process

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project transitions from estimating to execution

  • Track estimate progress and maintain accurate documentation

QualificationsRequired:

  • Previous restoration, construction, estimating, or related industry experience

  • Experience using Xactimate for repair estimating

  • Valid driver's license

  • General industry knowledge and understanding of restoration workflows

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-facing skills

Preferred:

  • Restoration industry experience

  • Based in Orange County or surrounding areas

  • Strong understanding of insurance claims processes and carrier negotiations
