Job description

Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Location: Biggby Coffees Cartersville

Reports To: District Manager

Department of Labor Classification: Salary Exempt

Work Schedule: 50–55 hours per week (flexible hours). Must be willing to start as early as 6:00 AM or work until midnight, depending on café hours.


The Restaurant Manager is responsible for providing strong, positive leadership to their team to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and the growth of profitable sales within a single location. This role oversees the overall operation of the restaurant in alignment with Harmony Coffees DBA Biggby Coffees standards, franchisee policies and procedures, and all applicable laws.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a Restaurant Barista as needed
  • Lead and facilitate team meetings
  • Train and develop Restaurant Baristas
  • Ensure execution of brand standards, recipes, and systems
  • Build and maintain a guest-focused culture in the restaurant
  • Review guest feedback and implement action plans for improvement
  • Communicate priorities, goals, and results to team members
  • Execute new product rollouts including training, marketing, and sampling
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant work environment by enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation practices
  • Manage costs to maximize profitability
  • Conduct periodic inventory as required by the franchisee
  • Prepare weekly labor schedules ensuring appropriate staffing levels
  • Place and manage vendor orders (Sysco and others)
  • Perform self-assessments and develop corresponding action plans
  • Ensure restaurant meets budget goals set by the franchisee
  • Oversee cash handling procedures and compliance with franchisee cash policies
  • Collaborate with Biggby Coffees’ Field Operations team as appropriate

Management Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new Restaurant Baristas
  • Monitor, appraise, and review employee performance
  • Coach and develop staff to improve sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience

  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong math and financial management skills
  • Prior leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality
  • College degree preferred
