Job description

At McDonald's, our General Managers don't just run restaurants - they lead businesses, develop people, and create exceptional guest experiences every day. As a HU Certified General Manager, you are responsible for overall restaurant performance, team leadership, and delivering excellence in Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value (QSCV). This position is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent McDonald's franchisee.
As a General Manager, you are accountable for all aspects of restaurant operations, people development, and business results.
Core Responsibilities:
Operations Excellence
  • Ensure consistent execution of QSCV (Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value) standards
  • Oversee daily operations and long-term business performance
  • Maintain compliance with all McDonald's standards and procedures

People Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team
  • Coach and develop Crew Trainers, Shift Leaders, and Department Managers
  • Build a strong leadership bench for future growth
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture

Food Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers
  • Enforce all health, safety, and security procedures

Financial Performance
  • Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities
  • Control labor, food costs, and inventory
  • Drive sales growth and profitability

Required Qualifications & Certifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Hamburger University (HU) Certified General Manager
  • Valid ServSafe Certification
  • Open Availability (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)

Additional preferred qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong business decision-making abilities
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus (Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in English & Spanish)
