Job description

The Kitchen Lead is responsible for implementing and maintaining all operational procedures and programs related to heart of house (HOH). This position should be the subject matter expert on Heart of House operating procedures, cost of goods, and labor controls. Kitchen Lead will coordinate food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. Kitchen lead demonstrates a passion for food, quality, and excellence, knowing the exceptional food has no exceptions. 


     Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders with GM

      Supervise food prep and cooking

      Help train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques

      Monitor food waste and inventory levels, taking steps to minimize waste and optimize inventory

      Prepare food to order and follow kitchen procedures to ensure high quality food is served consistently

      Maintain sanitation and safety standards in HOH

      Ensure products are stored at the correct temperatures and the recipe books are up to date with current menu items, portions and ingredients

      Instill and reinforce our culture by effectively communicating to team members

      Execute all heart of the house positions as needed, including expo

      Implement plating and execution of core and promotional menu items including training team members

      Perform regular kitchen line, food safety, and temperature checks to ensure overall efficiency of restaurant kitchen operations.

       Receive and expedite orders efficiently, minimizing delays and ensuring timely delivery of customer requests.

      Demonstrate the ability to lead the kitchen during peak periods, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.

       Demonstrate a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
