East West Cuisine Hospitality (EWCH) is a multi-concept restaurant group featuring modern Thai dining across New York and San Francisco. In San Francisco, we operate hed 11, a Michelin-recognized fine dining concept, and hed Very Thai SF, a modern Thai fast-casual concept with catering. We're looking for an experienced Area Manager to oversee daily operations and administration across both locations.

Position Overview
The Area Restaurant Manager will work closely as a team with Owner Billie Wannajaro, supporting her on administrative work while taking full operational ownership of both hed 11 and hed Very Thai SF. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives managing multiple concepts and teams simultaneously, and who's comfortable partnering directly with ownership on the business side.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at both hed 11 and hed Very Thai SF, ensuring both locations run efficiently and to brand standard
  • Work directly with Owner Billie Wannajaro on administrative tasks, including payroll coordination, vendor management, and compliance documentation
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and team performance across both restaurants
  • Ensure consistent guest experience and service standards across both concepts
  • Monitor P&L performance, labor costs, and budget adherence for both locations
  • Coordinate inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of staff at both venues
  • Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day issues at either location
  • Ensure health, safety, and licensing compliance at both restaurants
  • Support catering operations for hed Very Thai SF as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of multi-unit restaurant management experience
  • Strong operational and administrative background
  • Proven ability to manage teams across multiple locations
  • Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and payroll processes
