Description

the girl & the fig is hiring a Food Runner to join our team in Sonoma. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and plays an important part in delivering a smooth and efficient dining experience.

We are part of a Sonoma-based restaurant group with multiple concepts, catering, and events. Our focus is on high-quality ingredients, thoughtful service, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest.

As a Food Runner at the girl & the fig, you'll act as a key connection between the kitchen and dining room. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to move quickly while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Pay & Schedule

  • $18.47/hour + tips
  • Full-time and part-time positions available

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support both kitchen coordination and guest service throughout each shift, including:

  • Delivering food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and organized manner
  • Communicating dish descriptions and answering basic menu questions
  • Working closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate order delivery
  • Assisting with maintaining cleanliness and organization of service stations
  • Supporting servers and bussers to maintain efficient service flow
  • Helping ensure each guest receives their food promptly and correctly

Required Experience & Skills

  • Previous restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both guests and team members
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

Certifications
