Job description

Senior Data Analyst

Byte Restaurant Coach is a best-in-class application that optimizes restaurant operations and creates the best jobs. We are proud to be part of Yum! Brands & Digital Technology, a company with over 55,000 restaurants across more than 150 countries and territories, under its leading worldwide restaurant brands – KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and The Habit Burger Grill.

Byte Restaurant Coach is an all-in-one mobile platform specifically designed for streamlined restaurant operations. It's packed with a range of tools tailored to the needs of restaurant managers and staff, enabling them to efficiently manage daily tasks, benefit from data-driven suggestions, get timely operational prompts, and stay updated with an interactive activity feed.

The innovative edge of the Byte Restaurant Coach lies in its 'brain layer'—an advanced recommendation engine that compiles data through different operational data sources. This engine employs machine learning to offer smart insights, thereby enhancing the decision-making process and restaurant operations.

Our team operates globally with offices in the UK, and US, as we are now installed in over 31,000+ restaurants worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who can transform large-scale operational data into clear insights, actionable recommendations, and scalable data products that directly improve restaurant performance. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, data modeling, and business impact — focused on turning data into decisions, not just reports.

Responsibilities
  • Drive Insights & Recommendations: Analyze large-scale operational data to identify trends, performance drivers, and opportunities, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations for restaurant operators.
  • Build Scalable & Efficient Analytics Solutions: Design and maintain high-quality dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or similar), ensuring queries, data models, and pipelines are optimized for performance, scalability, and growing data volume.
  • Lead Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct correlation analysis, impact analysis, and structured investigations to understand root causes and quantify business impact.
  • Partner & Influence: Collaborate with product, business, and operations stakeholders to define problems, align on metrics, and communicate insights clearly in English to drive decision-making.
  • Own End-to-End Analytics: Take full ownership of analytical work — from problem framing and data preparation to insight generation and delivery — with a proactive, high-accountability mindset.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • 6 years of hands-on experience in data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write efficient, optimized queries for large-scale datasets.
  • Strong experience with BI tools (e.g., Domo, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and data modeling, with the ability to structure data for performance and scalability.
  • Proven experience in mobile app or product analytics.
  • Strong foundation in correlation analysis, impact analysis, and trend analysis.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
  • Exceptional independence and a proactive approach to problem-solving; comfortable taking initiative and driving projects autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building recommendation models or analytical solutions that drive actions.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning / AI concepts.
  • Experience working with large-scale operational or transactional data.
  • Background in F&B, retail, or operations-heavy environments.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decision-making through data.

Why this role matters:

Your work will directly impact how thousands of restaurants operate every day — helping them not only understand performance but take the right actions to improve it at scale.

Why you'll love working here:

  • 100% salary during the probation period.
  • Annual Leave: 18 days/year.
  • Five "Recharge Days" – Extra days, in addition to company holidays.
  • 1 Day off paid leave for your birthday.
  • Half-day Fridays.
  • Hybrid working policy
  • Full salary insurance.
  • 13th-month bonus.
  • Advanced health insurance (Generali).
  • Regular team and engagement activities.
  • LinkedIn learning & training courses, based on company policy.
  • MacBook and Monitors.
