Job description
We are seeking for an Assistant Manager for one of our clients in the hospitality industry in San Juan Puerto Rico. From Classic and modern luxury full-service hotels to fine dining and entertainment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily restaurant operations, maintaining seamless service and a superior dining environment.
- Supports the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager in executing restaurant policies, procedures, and achieving goals.
- Assists with scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
- Collaborates with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
- Develops and manages beverage programs within the restaurant's operational framework.
- Oversees performance and training of service and management staff in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Maintains high-quality standards for food, beverage, service, facilities, and guest satisfaction.
- Communicates effectively across all levels of staff and guest interactions.
- Provides expert wine recommendations and pairings to enhance the dining experience.
- Leads wine training for staff and manages wine inventory, including ordering and storage.
- Stays informed on industry trends and emerging wines to keep the program dynamic and current.
- Ensure confidentiality and protect company assets.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
