Position Summary

The Senior Assistant General Manager reports to the Manager, Site Lead and partners with cross-functional peers, Front of House (FOH), Tour, Retail, Events and Back of House (BOH) teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences across High West venues. By consistently serving authentic whiskey, food, and cocktails and modeling Nelson's Green Brier's (NGB) culture and hospitality standards, this role helps turn guests into lifelong NGB ambassadors.

Responsibilities

  • Represent and support the NGB mission and vision as Manager on Duty, delivering a five-star experience for every guest.
  • Support the team by hiring, training, and retaining top-performing FOH staff.
  • Provide floor leadership and direction for restaurant and events to ensure operational excellence.
  • Partner with peers and staff to maintain cleanliness standards across all FOH stations and interior and exterior building areas.
  • Develop FOH staff by building skills, providing coaching, reinforcing accountability, and giving direct, constructive feedback.
  • Manage one or more staff workgroups to support Hospitality Restuaruant and Event operations.
  • Complete delegated operational tasks from the Manager, Site Lead efficiently and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with NGB employees to support policy execution and company initiatives.
  • Lead and direct pre-service execution.
  • Partner with peers and direct reports to complete the annual evaluation and review process for FOH employees.
  • Support Site Lead and operations in all NGB FOH areas as needed.
  • Help plan and participate in seasonal NGB employee training for summer and winter menu launches.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs and SOP's that elevate service standards.
  • Assist the Manager, Site Lead and actively participate in operational meetings and strategy sessions to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, new projects, and brand development.
  • Maintain open availability based on guest demand and business needs including events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of guest-facing floor management or lead experience in a restaurant or bar environment.
  • Proven ability to exceed guest expectations and lead teams effectively.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems in real time.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance guest, staff, and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of guest-facing floor management experience in a restaurant or bar environment.
  • Extensive floor service experience, such as serving or bartending, in a similar business.
  • Proven success developing employees for growth within an organization.
  • Experience implementing operational policies and procedures that meet or exceed business metrics.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Works both indoors and outdoors.
  • Works in warm and cold climates.
  • Works at heights.
  • Works on wet surfaces.
  • May be exposed to loud noise, fumes, and/or toxic chemicals.
  • Works near moving mechanical parts and lift truck traffic.
  • Must be able to move up to 55 lbs.

The salary range for this role is:

$63,200.00 - $92,800.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
