API Architect / Developer


Job Summary: CoreSphere is seeking a seasoned API Architect Solution / Sr Developer to assist with developing the full application architecture and developing solutions that translates business requirements into functioning software systems, services, and solutions. Our Salesforce API Architect will be working with a team to meet with clients and gather requirements and develop Salesforce solutions based on business needs with robust documentation. This position requires a strong knowledge of application development, database design, systems implementation and crafting technical solutions to complex business needs. The best candidates will be highly technical professionals experienced in Solution Architecture, Database Modeling, System Integration, and Web application development. Candidates should have extensive development experience with the Salesforce platform.


Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert on Salesforce engagements / Projects.
  • Translates business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platforms and products
  • Evaluate and document the benefits and risks to a solution’s feasibility and functionality
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions. 
  • Manage the execution of development, testing, and deployment plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered
  • Keep up with new Salesforce product and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions
  • Provide expertise during sales efforts to design High level Solution and estimate the technical level of effort
  • Participate in marketing events (e.g. Salesforce Forums and Events)
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through publishing, public speaking, and client presentations 
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for leading projects through the requirements definition and solution design phases.  
  • The candidate will oversee overall solution design to meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories, and for leading a team of resources through the build, test, and deployment phases. 
Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS/BA in a related field (Business Administration/Management, Computer Science, or Software Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant, professional technical experience in architecting and delivering technical solutions, with a minimum of three (3) years of MuleSoft API development
  • Active MuleSoft Certified Developer certification
  • Must have demonstrated expertise in 3+ projects, implementing full SDLC (Discovery, requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment and maintenance) of the Salesforce based solutions
  • Extensive development experience with Salesforce development technologies; security, process builder, flow, workflow, APEX, Visual Force, Lightning, Community, Workflows, Triggers, API, SOSL, SOQL, REST, App builder
  • Good understanding of Architecture and Integration Patterns, DevOps methods, Tools, and techniques
  • Good Understanding of Best Practices and Coding Standards
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing APIs as products using OpenAPI v3 and MuleSoft’s 3-tiered API architecture (experience-process-system), including seamless Salesforce integration and robust security aligned to Federal and FISMA standards
  • Demonstrated skills in independently developing and maintaining automated MUnit test suites to ensure API quality, while effectively communicating complex integration requirements across teams
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver secure, scalable MuleSoft APIs by leveraging best practices in API-led connectivity, compliance, and cross-platform integration
  • Experience in designing enterprise-level solution on Salesforce Platform using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success
  • Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, and Marketing Clouds, as well as the Force.com Platform
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce configuration, including workflows, validation rules, Process Builder, and security controls
  • Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed Salesforce system and functional designs Experience in documenting business processes and wireframing system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as making recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs
  • Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems, basic understanding of programming logic and constructs, specifically in Salesforce, and their use in software development
  • Experience with single-org deployments and multi-org consolidations


Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Active MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect certification
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Salesforce with MuleSoft solutions
  • Experience managing MuleSoft APIs in MuleSoft Government Cloud, to include deployment and CloudHub configuration
  • Experience implementing secure HTTPS API connectivity using MuleSoft CloudHub
  • Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of CRM software solutions
  • Strong knowledge of CRM software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player as demonstrated through a customer qualification of a large scale/enterprise implementation with multiple work streams
  • Dynamic and self-motivated person with a strong customer focus with the ability to lead new initiatives across the platform
