We are looking for a respiratory therapist who is seeking their next exciting opportunity in a complex and ever-evolving work environment! In this role, you will be responsible for assessment of patient/client needs for equipment and the selection, instruction, and troubleshooting of appropriate equipment and/or services provided to meet those needs. Employees hired into this position must be comfortable with providing in home patient care, as needed!

Responsibilities- Receive and document the orders for equipment and/or services from the referral source, physician, patient/client, family member, or caregiver.
- Compliance: Patient care staff are responsible for maintaining compliance tasks daily (e.g., patient utilization, improvement, check ins/follow ups, documentation, resolution, task lists, etc.).
- Provide administrative support as needed, including handling paperwork, filing, and managing correspondence; addressing client complaints or concerns and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Train and assist with overall daily operations of respiratory therapy including vents, intake, coverage, and quality assurance at existing and new locations.
- Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory and provide coverage for area branches as operational needs dictate.
- Must be flexible and willing to assist with staffing coverage at various locations, when peers are out due to continued education, vacation, leave, etc...
- Collect additional information and/or authorization as needed.
- Assess the needs of the patient/client and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet the needs of the patients.
- Involve the patient/client and/or family, caregiver in the selection process.
- Instruct patients/clients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for that equipment.
- Communicate with the patient's/client's physician on changes in patient's condition and/or needs and carry out adjustment to the patient's/client's Plan of Care/Treatment.
- Rotate to various branches to support the business and patients, as business needs dictate.
- Track and maintain follow up on preventative maintenance and schedule visits for respiratory therapy equipment assigned to clients.
- Assist with scheduled visits of clients receiving oxygen therapy as needed.
- Complete patient/client accounts paperwork, including Plan of Care/Home assessments.
- Act as a liaison between the company and the patient/client, family, caregiver, physician, and other healthcare agencies and staff on the case.
- Conduct, participate and attend educational meetings and seminars for healthcare workers, patients/clients, families, care givers, physicians, and interested community members on areas of need.
- Assist with arrangement of necessary referral to community agencies or for those traveling, to assist in continuity of care.
- Develop and implement discharge plans for agency patients/clients.
- Work positively as a team member alongside professionals who are providing respiratory care services to patients and their families in need.
- Perform duties of a broad nature while working in a fast-paced environment, which include ability to have decision making, problem solving, and excellent customer service skills.
- Must remain flexible and open minded with change and comfortably manage transitions from task to task effectively.
- Confidentiality: Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations, as required in healthcare.
- Must be willing to work after normal business hours and on weekends.
- Assume full responsibility for actions, professional skills, and attitudes.

- Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.
- Respiratory care experience and/or home care experience in the field of respiratory care.
- Thorough knowledge and skills related to home medical equipment field.

- Full-time positions require a 40-hour work week.
- Hours: Generally, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
- This position does have an on-call rotation.
- Overtime as needed with OT pay!
Non-patient care physical requirements generally include accounts receivable, finance, compliance, human resources, oversight, and senior executive leadership (CEO/COO). Physical demands associated with these positions generally range from sedentary to light work in an office setting. Positions may require prolonged sitting at a desk and frequent use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment. Employees must be able to move throughout the office as necessary to perform job responsibilities and interact with staff. Physical demands may include occasional standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and/or moving of office files, supplies, or light equipment weighting approximately 10–20 lbs. Manual dexterity and the ability to communicate effectively are also required.
Patient care physical requirements generally include operational, sales, delivery, and patient-facing positions. Depending upon specific position and its essential functions, physical demands associated with this position may include sitting, walking, driving, standing, lifting, carrying, maneuvering medical equipment, and ascending or descending stairs. Some positions involving the delivery, setup, service and/or handling of medical equipment may require the ability to lift and carry equipment (e.g., portable oxygen concentrators and nebulizers) weighing up to 50 lbs. independently. Duties may include frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs while transporting medical equipment, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, or bending to set up, connect, inspect, clean or troubleshoot equipment. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills may be required to manipulate equipment and components (such as cleaning tubing).
